A Quintessential British Countryside Wedding Join us as we celebrate our wedding on Friday, 17th October 2025, in the heart of the beautiful Kent countryside. Our ceremony will take place at St Martin’s Church in Great Mongeham, a charming historic village church nestled among rolling fields near Deal. Guests are invited to arrive from 2:30pm, with the ceremony beginning at 3:00pm. After we say “I do,” we’ll make our way to the reception — cars will be available to take guests from the church to the venue. The celebration continues at Updown Farmhouse, a stunning country hideaway just outside Betteshanger. Set amidst picturesque gardens and surrounded by open farmland, The Updown combines rustic charm with refined elegance — think roaring fires, stone walls, seasonal flowers, and a warm, intimate atmosphere. Expect delicious food, flowing drinks, music, laughter, and all the joy of a true English countryside wedding. Festivities will run from 4:00pm until midnight, with carriages at 12am. Parking is available onsite for those who wish to drive, and taxis should be booked in advance as cars are limited in the area. We can’t wait to share this unforgettable day with you — celebrating love, friendship, and the beauty of the English countryside at its finest.

Their wedding at The Updown will be a reflection of everything they love most — great food, beautiful surroundings, and all their favourite people gathered to celebrate in true countryside style.
